Come down to Pybus Public Market and paint to fight hunger! In exchange for a donation of $10, or $35 for a family of up to five, you will be able to paint and personalize a ceramic bowl and, at no additional cost to you, get a ticket to attend the intentionally simple dinner featuring soups and bread donated by local restaurants in March. At the paintings, the event’s Creative Sponsor, Inspirations Ceramics who donate their time to add the final coat of glaze and fire the bowls, will also have staff members present to provide materials and instructions on how to create your own masterpiece.
The dinner will be held on March 10th at Wenatchee High School where you will have your bowl returned to you with soup in it. You will also be able to bid on donated silent auction items, engage in conversations about food insecurity and hunger relief, and enjoy being surrounded by other members of the community. At the end of the night, you will take home your bowl as a reminder of all the bowls that too often go empty in our two counties.
All the proceeds from this event will go towards the efforts of the NCW Food Distribution Center, a program of Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council, which supports 11 local food banks and four meal programs better serve community members experiencing food insecurity and hunger.
This event is made possible by the local businesses, organizations, and restaurants that are passionate about fighting hunger and building healthy unified communities. This year’s leading sponsor is Confluence Health, they are also joined by Crunch Pak, Inspirations Ceramics, Pybus Market and many restaurants and businesses that will donate soups, bread, and silent auction items
