The restaurant is owned by Kelsey Mehelich, a former hairdresser and successful entrepreneur. Mehelich tries to buy most of her produce from local farms and organizations, as she believes that small businesses should try to support other small businesses as much as possible.

After stopping by Dilly Deli for lunch, you could do some shopping! Tumbleweed is a boutique owned by Jessica Russel, who initially started her business with custom jewelry. Tumbleweed makes all of its products right here in the Wenatchee Valley. Another must-visit shop is Wenatchi Wear. Wenatchi Wear owner Mary Big Bull-Lewis felt the town lacked Indigenous representation, so she started an apparel company that supports Indigenous stories and art. 

Wenatchee’s strong sense of community is represented in a local dance studio. Lindsey Martin started Dance Creations in 2009 and has created a strong community within the Wenatchee Valley. Dance Creations performs at local events such as Apple Blossom and the Janice Franz Talent Show. In addition, they offer seasonal dance classes for kids starting at age 3 up to adult classes! If you’re looking for a fun workout with a positive community, Dance Creations has just that!

Finish off the day with some self-care at The Sugaring Hut! The Sugaring Hut is a premium hair removal studio specializing in body sugaring. The Sugaring Hut is owned by Christy Mehelich. No, you’re not going crazy! Christy is the sister of Dilly Deli owner Kelsey Mehelich mentioned above! Christy is an upbeat and personable business owner that makes genuine connections with her customers.
