WENTACHEE, WA, June 6 – SCJ Alliance’s growth continues with the recent hiring of three key professionals. SCJ is a consulting firm specializing in transportation planning and design, civil engineering, and land use/environmental planning.Molly Linville has joined SCJ’s Wenatchee office as an Environmental Planner. Molly has over ten years’ professional experience as a wildlife biologist, eight with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and two with Landau Associates. She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Montana in wildlife biology and is well-versed in the ecology of Eastern Washington. Molly has extensive experience with wetland delineations, SEPA checklists, Shoreline Master Programs and various environmental permitting efforts. Much of her background has been related to restoring and reestablishing native vegetation in wetlands, shrub-steppe, grasslands and riverine habitats.Molly was raised on a wheat and barley farm in Eastern Washington where she learned to rope, ride, shoot and fish. Today she owns and operates the KV Ranch, a 6000-acre cattle ranch south of East Wenatchee, with her husband David. She is affectionately known as the Coulee Cattle Queen to many in the area.Dan Penrose, AICP is now the Planning Manager at SCJ Alliance. With nearly 20 years’ experience in state and municipal government, Dan is recognized for his ability to apply creative but practical solutions to complex problems. Most recently he was the Program Manager for the South Sound Military & Communities Partnership (SSMCP), serving as the primary point of contact for facilitating collaboration between Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), community leaders and elected officials. “Dan brings amazing connections, commitment, ideas and energy,” shared SCJ Senior Vice President Jean Carr. She added, “His leadership skills and ability to build partnerships will serve our clients well as he manages our planning division.”Prior to leading the SSMCP, Dan served as a senior planner with the City of Lakewood. There he worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from school construction and master planned developments to wetland banking, transportation demand management plans and NEPA analysis. Dan received a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics with distinction from Occidental College and a Master’s in Urban Regional Planning from Eastern Washington University.Cathy McKay, a talented and results-producing marketing and public relations professional, has joined SCJ as a Senior Marketing Coordinator. Cathy’s expertise has been applied to diverse markets, including architectural and engineering services, local governmental agencies, and mass media. Her specialties include publication production, communicating written and verbal technical information to non-technical audiences, and creation of large project competitive presentations.
