Ski right onto the golf green this spring

Make sure your trunk has plenty of room – you’re going to need your skis and your golf clubs for an amazing spring day in Wenatchee. It’s that time of the year when you can get a few runs in on the mountain at Mission Ridge, strip your ski clothes, put on a polo and grab your clubs to play a few holes on the golf course. Spring is an unbeatable time in the Wenatchee Valley for outdoor recreation.

Mission Ridge sees a lot of bluebird days in March and with the new hours this year, you can really get the most out of the ski season. Daily operations have been extended through March 21st and the Ridge is scheduled to be open every weekend through April 11th. Don’t miss out on the new bubble lift, too – it’s the first one in Washington! The new Wenatchee Express is a high-speed, four-person chairlift that features chairs with plexiglass bubble covers, a shorter ride time, and loading/unloading from inside the new top and bottom terminal buildings. Mission Ridge is committed to making this season and upcoming seasons the best they can be. Plus, with the spring pass you can save and get access to 23 days and four nights in March and April.

The drive time between Mission Ridge and several golf courses in the valley is measured in a matter of minutes. There are a variety of options when it comes to courses, from low yardage par-3’s to some of the top-rated courses in the Pacific Northwest. Here are just a few of our picks for golfers to try after a day on the slopes:

  • Three Lakes Golf Club is a 28-minute drive from Mission Ridge and offers a classic, affordable golfing experience with beautiful tree-lined holes and views of the foothills. Plus, they offer lessons, golf camps and foot golf! Like Mission, Three Lakes makes guest experience a top priority!

  • Highlander Golf Club is perched high above the Columbia River with stunning views and innovative cliffside holes. With new water features and bunkers, you can go from the white snow right to the white sand. And it’s only 34 minutes away from Mission Ridge!
  •  Wenatchee Golf & Country Club is one of the state’s top courses and has played host to many USGA and PNGA events over the years. Since 1923, they’ve been offering amazing experiences and opportunities to guests. Find this club across the river just 29 minutes away!

After having to spend more time indoors due to the pandemic, this is your chance to take advantage of all the great outdoor activities Wenatchee has to offer this time of year. A spring day at Mission Ridge followed by an evening golfing with views of the Columbia River Valley seems like just the thing to take away our winter blues!
