September Happy Hours/Live Music

Summer is winding down, but that doesn’t mean there’s less to do in Wenatchee. There’s still a full line up of happy hours and live music for those of us who want a fun night (or day) out. Here are some of the seasonal and year-round happy hours and live music options in Wenatchee, plus some one-time events that are worth putting on the calendar.

Happy Hours

South’s Basil Margarita

Monday to Friday

  • McGlinn’s: 2:30 – 5:30 pm. $10 for any pizza; $6 wine slushies; $1 off pints of craft beers/ciders $1 off glasses of wine
  • South: 4-6 pm, featuring rotating seasonal food and drink specials
  • Shakti’s: 4-6 pm Monday through Saturday. $1-$2 off appetizers, plus $24 twilight dinner specials.

One Day a Week

  • Thursdays:
    • South offers a special extended happy hour for Run Wenatchee members on Thursdays. Runners can enjoy happy hour drinks and seasonal appetizers from 4-9 pm after their weekly run. 
    • Thirsty Thursday at the Wenatchee Chamber Tasting Room, featuring rotating local cider makers during September. 4-6 p.m. $5 tasting fee.

  • Fridays: Yappy Hour at Chateau Faire le Pont, 4-8 pm through October

Once a Month

  • First Thursday of the Month: Tech Talk + Happy Hour at Badger Mountain Brewing, 4:30–6 p.m.
  • First Friday of the Month: First Friday in Wenatchee, where many local businesses stay open late and offer specials. Head to the Wenatchee Chamber of Commerce for wine tasting, featuring Jones of Washington Winery and photography by Frank Cone. 5-8 p.m. $10 tasting fee waived with a bottle purchase.
  • Second Saturday of the Month: Wine Tasting at the Wenatchee Chamber Tasting Room, featuring Keystone Cellars wines. 2-5 p.m. $10 tasting fee waived with a bottle purchase.

  • Live Music at Hard Hat Winery: End of the Line plays from 4-6 p.m. Bring a picnic and enjoy wine on the patio. All ages welcome.

September 15

September 21

  • Wenatchee Octoberfest

Join the 2nd annual Oktoberfest near downtown Wenatchee.
Tickets are $25 each through Sept. 20th and $30 at the entrance. Ticket holders receive eight tokens for tasting glasses of beer and a commemorative tasting glass. Ticket holders can buy additional tokens for $2 each. Three tokens = 1 pint of beer. Activities include live music, food, and a putting course.

  • Live Music at Hard Hat Winery: Rylei Franks plays from 4-6 p.m. Bring a picnic and enjoy wine on the patio. All ages welcome.

Morgan Fraser

Morgan Fraser is a North Central Washington native with a penchant for travel, interesting stories and fresh local food. After traveling the globe and living in several different countries, Morgan found the community, fresh water swimming and laid back mountain lifestyle in Leavenworth too enticing to resist. She teachers Spanish and is the author of two regional wine-pairing cookbooks and a travel memoir.
